The SNOWFLAKE Vest is a beautiful, drapy vest featuring an intarsia snowflake motif. The easy, breezy result looks deceptively simple. Laura will help you break down the complex charting and intense intarsia sections without going totally crazy. Strength in numbers and that kind of thing!

Needles: US 8 and US 6 (or size needed to obtain fabric you like) 32”- 40” needles for Magic Loop or US 4 DPNs / 16” circular for smaller ribbing if you don’t wish to use Magic Loop

Talk through your yarn ideas and supplies you’ll need to be successful

Schedule:

Class 1: Creating a Custom Swatch, half knit flat and half using a simple intarsia design

Class 2: Sizing and working through the back

Class 3: Left front: first intarsia section

• Tips and practice reading the tiiiiny chart

Class 4: Right font and joining the front to back

• Optional W&T so later seaming is unessesary

Class 5: Check in and general gripe session

Class 6: Finishing tips: weaving in ends, ribbing, tubular bind off review

About classes with Laura:

Classes are taught via Zoom with two cameras: one for Laura’s face and audio and the other focused on Laura’s hands for demonstration. All classes are recorded and distributed the morning after scheduled class times.
