The Zipper Sweater from Petite Knits features a quarter zip design that does not require a sewing machine to complete! This class is divided into two parts: collar and upper body set up and followed by working the body in the round, zipper placket pick up and picking up the sleeves
Wednesdays, August 6th, 1 week break, August 20, 27th, September 3, 10, 17, 24th 1 week break October 8
Supplies:
Needles: US 8 and US 6 (or size needed to obtain gauge) 32”- 40” needles for Magic Loop or US 4 DPNs / 16” circular for smaller ribbing if you don’t wish to use Magic Loop

1 closed end zipper 12 or 14” long (Sourcing Ideas will be shared in class)
Worsted/ Aran Weight Yarn or (2 strands held double to make Worsted Weight)
Sizes: 42¼ (43¾) 45¾ (47¼) 49¼ (52) 54¼ (57) 58¾ (62¼) inches
Worsted Weight yarn: 1050 (1194) 1290 (1385) 1528 (1670) 1720 (1720) 1800 yds|
10 g coordinating thread for zipper installation
Optional: sewing machine for zipper installation
Classes are taught via Zoom and are recorded. You’ll have access to the recordings in our virtual classroom space at LauraAllyson.Party.

Installing the zipper two ways: by hand or using your sewing machine. Additional sleeve advice and discussion

About classes with Laura:
Classes are taught via Zoom with two cameras: one for Laura’s face and audio and the other focused on Laura’s hands for demonstration. All classes are recorded and distributed the morning after scheduled class times.
